123 eCart was designed with the specific requirement of offering website owners an easy to use design interface regardless of their expertise.
The challenge in this is to offer a feature rich interface with advanced tools to the expert developer while still offering an intuitive and user friendly ecommerce tool to the novice.
One of the primary ways that we do this is thru the "Look and Feel Wizard".
The Look and Feel Wizard will guide you through a series of
pages which help you to customize 123 eCart to your own design preferences. This
enables us to present you with only those tools which you want to use and
not clutter up your design space with tools which you'll never use.
In some instances, your state or municipal government will require you to collect sales tax for online purchases. If you're not certain if you are required to collect sales tax, please ask your local government authorities.
Most merchants who are required to collect sales tax are only required to collect a tax for purchases from people who live in their own state.
If this is the case for you, you can quickly configure the sales tax portion of 123 eCart by using the Sales Tax Wizard.
Simply open the Sales Tax Wizard, select your state from the
pulldown list, enter the percentage of total sales used by your locality to
calculate sales tax, and press the finish button.
The Shipping Wizard will ask you to choose a shipping method, then guide you through the process of setting up appropriate shipping options to offer your buyers.
