123 eCart allows you to offer your customers a wide variety of payment methods.
You may offer your purchasers any or all of the following payment options:
Pay By Check
If you elect to allow your purchaser to pay by check, they will not be
required to input a credit card number or PO number at the end of the checkout
process, but will find a printable invoice which may be mailed in to you with a
check.
Pay By Purchase Order
If you allow a purchaser to pay by PO, they will be asked for a purchase
order number during checkout, and this number will appear on their order in your
Admin Control Panel.
Pay By Paypal
This option will appear in the checkout process if you have entered a paypal
username in the Gateway Settings page. If you do not enter your Paypal username
on this page, customers will not be given the option to pay with Paypal.
Pay By Credit Card
Most online vendors allow their customers to pay by credit card. If you
elect to take credit card payments, further configuration will be needed as
detailed below.
A Payment Gateway serves as a link between 123 eCart and your bank account. When a customer pays for an item in your online store, he or she enters a credit card number. 123 eCart sends that number to a payment gateway of your choosing, and the payment gateway attempts to charge the credit card for the amount of purchase. If the card is successfully charged, the gateway sends a positive response to 123 eCart, and the order is deemed to be successfull.
123 eCart currently supports the following payment gateways:
Authorize.net
2 Checkout
GoEmerchant
Google Checkout
To configure your gateway, please go to the Gateway Settings page in your Admin Panel, and select your own gateway. You will then be asked to provide specific account information for your chosen gateway.

If you wish to simply collect credit card numbers and run them manually, select the "Store Credit Cards" gateway. The credit card entered for any particular order will be available to you in the "notes" for that order. To view order notes, click on the "Notes" icon next to the order. WARNING: Storing credit card numbers for any length of time online is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and we STRONGLY DISCOURAGE this practice. To ensure maximum safety of your customers, please edit the notes after running the card in such a way as to destroy the credit card number. |
To allow your customers to pay by Paypal, simply enter your Paypal username in the Gateway Settings page.
